Adorable Mini Marshmallow Ghosts

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or white candy melts)
  • Black decorating gel (or black icing for the ghost faces)
  • Popsicle sticks (optional, for easy handling)
  • Sprinkles or edible glitter (optional, for extra decoration)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marshmallows:
    • If using popsicle sticks, gently insert a stick into the bottom of each mini marshmallow, leaving enough stick exposed for handling.
  • Melt the White Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts according to package instructions. Stir until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, you can add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.
  • Dip the Marshmallows:
    • Hold each mini marshmallow (or marshmallow-on-a-stick) and dip it into the melted white chocolate, covering it completely to resemble a ghost.
    • Gently shake off any excess chocolate and place the dipped marshmallow onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Add the Ghost Faces:
    • While the white chocolate is still soft, use black decorating gel or black icing to add two small dots for the eyes and a small dot for the mouth to each ghost.
    • If desired, add sprinkles or edible glitter for extra sparkle.
  • Cool and Set:
    • Allow the ghosts to cool and the chocolate to set at room temperature. You can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve:
    • Once the chocolate has set, the adorable mini marshmallow ghosts are ready to be enjoyed. Serve as a fun Halloween treat!
