In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt and pepper (if using). Make sure the mixture is well-combined.
Step 2: Soak the Crumpets
Place the crumpets in the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for about 30 seconds on each side. You want the crumpets to absorb some of the egg without becoming too soggy.
