Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 4 (6 oz) ribeye steaks or your preferred cut
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Cajun Butter Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

Season the Steaks

  • Generously season both sides of the steaks with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.

Prepare the Cajun Butter Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice until well combined. Set aside.

Heat the Skillet

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

Sear the Steaks

  • Place the seasoned steaks in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your desired doneness.

Add the Cajun Butter

  • During the last minute of cooking, spoon the Cajun butter sauce over the steaks, allowing it to melt and infuse the meat with flavor.

Rest the Steaks

  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Garnish and Serve

  • Slice the steaks against the grain, drizzle with any remaining Cajun butter, and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
