Scale

For the Fish

  • 46 fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or snapper)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Fish

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Season the Fillets: Pat the fish fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Marinate and Season

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, paprika, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat the Fish: Brush the marinade generously over each fillet, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Bake the Fish

  1. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Broil (Optional): For a slightly crispy top, broil the fish for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Finish and Serve

  1. Garnish: Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the baked fish.
  2. Serve: Serve the fish with lime wedges for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
