Christmas Glazed Salmon Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium is best)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional, but SO pretty)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Whisk the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger until smooth and combined. The aroma alone will get you excited about this dish!
  • Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the glaze over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. You can go up to 2 hours if you really want the flavors to soak in.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Bake the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (don’t toss that extra marinade, though!), and place the fillets on your prepared baking sheet. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Halfway through baking, brush some of the reserved marinade over the salmon to make sure it’s extra juicy and flavorful.
  • Serve: Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. For a gorgeous holiday touch, garnish with fresh cranberries and rosemary. Serve with lemon wedges for a zesty kick!
