Creepy Spider Oreo Pops

  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or candy melts)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (for spider eyes)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Black licorice (for spider legs)
  • Candy eyes (optional)
  • Wax paper for cooling

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oreo Pops:
    • Carefully twist each Oreo cookie apart and insert a lollipop stick into the cream filling of each half. Press down gently to secure the stick.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Dip the Oreos:
    • Dip each Oreo pop into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Add Spider Legs:
    • Before the chocolate sets, cut black licorice into long strips (for spider legs) and attach four pieces to each side of the Oreo pop. You can use two pieces on each side for a total of eight legs.
  • Create the Eyes:
    • Melt the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Dip a toothpick into the melted white chocolate and dot two small circles on the top of each Oreo for the spider eyes. Alternatively, you can use candy eyes.
  • Cool and Set:
    • Place the decorated Oreo pops on a sheet of wax paper. Let them sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, or refrigerate for quicker setting.
  • Serve:
    • Once set, display the Creepy Spider Oreo Pops on a platter or in a fun Halloween container for your guests to enjoy!
