- Total Time: 30 minutes
- 12 large marshmallows
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (or milk chocolate), melted
- 12 mini pretzels (for antlers)
- 24 candy eyes (store-bought or homemade)
- 12 red candy noses (like red M&M’s or candy pearls)
- Toothpicks or lollipop sticks
- Parchment paper (for setting the marshmallows)
- Prepare the Marshmallows:
- Insert a toothpick or lollipop stick into each marshmallow, making them easier to dip in chocolate.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for the dipped marshmallows to set.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
- Dip the Marshmallows:
- Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
- Place the dipped marshmallow on the prepared baking sheet.
- Add the Decorations:
- While the chocolate is still wet, press two mini pretzels on top of the marshmallow to form the reindeer’s antlers.
- Add two candy eyes and one red candy nose to create the face.
- Repeat for all the marshmallows.
- Let Them Set:
- Allow the chocolate-covered marshmallows to set at room temperature or refrigerate them for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once the chocolate is set, your Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Reindeer are ready to serve!
