For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Base

  1. Heat Olive Oil: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Cook the Pasta

  1. Add Broth and Pasta: Pour in the chicken or seafood broth and bring to a boil. Add the fettuccine or linguine, stirring occasionally.
  2. Cook Pasta: Reduce heat to a simmer and cook the pasta for about 10 minutes, or until al dente, stirring occasionally.

Add Cream and Seafood

  1. Stir in Heavy Cream: Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add Shrimp and Crab: Gently fold in the shrimp and crab meat, cooking until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

Finish with Cheese

  1. Add Parmesan Cheese: Remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Season: Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Garnish: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
