For the Pretzel Snaps

  • 24 small pretzel snaps (square or round)
  • 24 caramel candies (soft or chewy)
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

Prepare the Pretzel Snaps

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange Pretzels: Place the pretzel snaps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Melt the Caramel

  1. Unwrap Caramels: Unwrap the caramel candies and place them on top of each pretzel snap.
  2. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the caramel is soft and slightly melted but not completely melted.
  3. Remove from Oven: Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven.

Finish the Pretzel Snaps

  1. Spread Caramel: Use the back of a spoon to gently press down on the melted caramel to spread it evenly over each pretzel snap.
  2. Sprinkle Sea Salt: Immediately sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the caramel before it cools.

Cool and Serve

  1. Let Cool: Allow the pretzel snaps to cool at room temperature until the caramel sets, about 10-15 minutes.
