Instructions

Prepare the Steak:

  1. Marinate the Steak: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Rub the marinade onto both sides of the steaks. Let the steak marinate for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Grill the Steak: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Greek Chicken Gyros:

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are fully covered. Let the chicken marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Grill the Chicken: Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.

Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:

  1. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (squeeze out excess water), dill, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Assemble the Dish:

  1. Warm the Pita: Warm the pita or flatbread on the grill or in a skillet for a few seconds until soft and pliable.
  2. Assemble the Plate: Serve the grilled steak slices alongside the sliced Greek chicken gyros. Place the warm pita on the side. Top with fresh vegetables like sliced cucumber, tomato, and red onion. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce, and sprinkle with feta cheese and parsley, if desired.
