Ingredients

Scale

For the Fudge:

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring
  • Black food coloring

For Topping (Optional):

  • Halloween-themed sprinkles (such as bats or ghosts)
  • Edible glitter (for a spooky touch)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.

Step 3: Add Flavoring

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 4: Color the Fudge

  • Divide the fudge mixture in half. To one half, add a few drops of red food coloring and mix until you achieve your desired color. To the other half, add black food coloring and mix well.

Step 5: Layer the Fudge

  • Pour the red fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set slightly.

  • Once the red layer is firm, pour the black fudge on top of the red layer and spread it evenly.

Step 6: Chill the Fudge

  • Refrigerate the fudge for at least 1 hour or until fully set.

Step 7: Cut and Serve

  • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and sprinkle with Halloween-themed decorations if desired.
