Ingredients

Scale

To make these mouthwatering Grilled Lobster Tails, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 4 lobster tails (about 5 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster Tails:

  1. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).
  2. Split the Lobster Tails: Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, cut the lobster tails in half lengthwise, exposing the meat. If needed, remove the vein (also called the intestinal tract) from the lobster.
  3. Season the Lobster Meat: Drizzle olive oil over the cut side of the lobster meat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika, making sure the meat is well coated.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  1. Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add Garlic and Lemon Juice: Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley, and remove from heat.

Grill the Lobster Tails:

  1. Grill the Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails cut side up on the grill. Close the lid and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch. Use tongs to carefully flip the lobster tails halfway through grilling to ensure even cooking.
  2. Baste with Garlic Butter: During the last few minutes of grilling, baste the lobster meat with the garlic butter sauce for added flavor and moisture.

Serve the Lobster Tails:

  1. Finish and Serve: Once the lobster tails are cooked through, remove them from the grill. Drizzle with the remaining garlic butter sauce and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra zest.
