Ingredients

Scale

Gather these ingredients to make your Hibiscus Tea Pineapple Smoothie:

  • 1 cup strong brewed hibiscus tea, cooled
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • ½ cup ice cubes (optional, for thicker consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Hibiscus Tea:

  1. Brew the Tea: Brew a strong cup of hibiscus tea according to package instructions. Let it steep for the recommended time, then remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea leaves.

  2. Cool the Tea: Allow the brewed hibiscus tea to cool completely. You can speed up the cooling process by placing it in the refrigerator.

Combine Ingredients:

  1. Add to Blender: In a high-speed blender, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, frozen pineapple chunks, frozen banana, frozen mango chunks, grated fresh ginger, and lime juice.

  2. Add Sweetener (Optional): If desired, add honey or agave for added sweetness.

Blend the Smoothie:

  1. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more hibiscus tea or water. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes.

Serve:

  1. Pour and Garnish: Pour the smoothie into a glass.

  2. Garnish (Optional): Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of pineapple. Serve immediately.
